About the Artist

Matthew Satz has been creating works driven by concept and content rather than by aesthetics. The processes through which he creates are rooted in a history of art and heavily influence the final outcome of his works.
Satz is collected internationally and has produced pieces commissioned by Prince Albert of Monaco, and for Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in Manhattan. His work is in numerous public and private collections including the the Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, New York and Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. He currently lives and works in New York.
