Julie Combal

Born - 1977 / Hometown - Brooklyn, NY

About the Artist

Julie Combal is an Artist and Art Therapist practicing in the New York Area. She earned her undergraduate degree from Skidmore College in Fine Art and a Masters in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts.

Both these experiences inform her body of work through their social and aesthetic structures, with their focus on the relationship between humans and nature. She represents this relationship through drawing, painting, sculpture and performance; at times using pollution itself as the medium.

Ms. Combal has exhibited nationally and internationally; is represented in national and international private collections, and the collection of The Metropolitan College of New York’s Disaster Management program.
