About the Artist
Eric LoPresti grew up in the desert steppe of eastern Washington State, near the Hanford plutonium production site. LoPresti’s paintings investigate the cultural aftereffects of dramatic conflict, focusing on the aftermath of the Cold War and its associated landscapes.
A winner of the Miami Young Painters Award, LoPresti's work has been featured in Art in America, Artforum.com and Nature. He holds a BA in Cognitive Science from the University of Rochester and an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art.
